The mission of OU High School (OUHS) is to transform students' lives through knowledge gained from a high school curriculum of flexible, high-quality, self-paced courses available to all students regardless of time and place.

School Vision

To provide quality distance education that enhances learning for students from Oklahoma and around the world. Through a process of continuous improvement OU High School will provide standards based curriculum that is rigorous and relevant to the educational needs of our students.

1. Educational opportunities using distance learning can be effective and useful for growing numbers of students.
2. We will continue to leverage technology to improve the effectiveness of distance learning.
3. All students deserve an opportunity to learn in an environment that is most effective for their needs.
4. Student support, flexible scheduling and rigorous course material contribute to success of students using independent learning.
5. Critical to the success of our students are high quality, certified teachers who understand how to be effective in the independent and distance learning environment. Professional development focused on furthering teacher understanding of this environment is an ongoing requirement.
