Graduation Requirements
Diploma Requirements
To graduate from our program, students will be required to complete 23 Carnegie units. A minimum of five half-unit courses (2.5 units) must be taken from OU High School.
- 4 units of English
- 3 units of mathematics, including Algebra I (Math 101 and 102) and any courses in mathematics with content and/or rigor above Algebra I
- 3 units of science, including biology (Biology 201 and 202)
- 3 units of social studies (history, government, economics), including American history (History 101 and 102) and government (Government 301)
- 1 unit of fine arts (art, music, drama)
- 9 elective units
Diploma Time Limits
Other than the course time limits, there is no fixed schedule for completing the high school diploma requirements. Completion time will vary, depending on your course load and how much time is devoted to study.
Sequence of Courses
The sequences OU High has provided below should be used as suggested course schedules only. Students accepted into the diploma program will work with OU High advisors to develop their individual course plans. Please keep in mind that there are many different ways students can accomplish their academic goals.
